This is the last blog Im going to do; aaaahhhhh, im going to miss compsci…

I remembered our first class , ms kath was wearing a purple blouse and she asked us to get ¼ sheet of yellow paper and write our goals in life and our desired grade (I think I wrote 2.5 or something). Then she called me to share whatever I wrote on that small sheet of paper. At first I don’t know what to say; I just simply read the words on the paper (I’m shy at first haha!!)

Then ms kath said something that she always keeps telling us students, "better drop the subject if your expecting a low grade”… Which is true; it’s just like joining a contest, “why join if you are not expecting to win?” Right?

I want to thank ms kath for making compsci a fun, cool, and a learning experience for me (waaahhh, im being dramatic hexhex). Because of your different style of teaching; it’s not the traditional way, but students still learn while having fun.

To ms kath, thank you for being a cool and an approachable professor, at first I thought your one of those professors that are masungit, hindi pala hexhex… Especially for the support last talent quest, I really appreciated the
“pray over” you did in W413.

To my classmates, uummmm… maybe we’re not all that close, but you also contributed in making this subject fun…

Well, to sum things up, the
COMPSCI EXPERIENCE has been really FUN and COOL

with God all things are possible
 ---Matthew 19:26

I've been asking myself if this saying is really true, since we have this portrait on our wall and says "with GOD all things are possible". I got my answer by watching the movie Facing the Giants.

The theme of the movie is about football. But its not concentrated on football, it tells people about the greatness of God. It tells people that in everything and anything that we do, God is always beside us, ready to help, support and guide us on everything that we do...

And "facing the Giants" doesn't literally mean facing the team called Giants. The title was referring to the big problems (giants) they are facing in the movie.

At first, i thought this was about a boring movie about football, but it's not. It's exactly what i needed, a boost, and inspiration. Since it's finals week, and passing TRIGMATH is just one of the things going through my head; the movie really gave me hope that everything really is possible, just as long as you put your heart to God.

From the middle of the movie to the end was when i got goosebumps, because it is where everything fall into place as they started to prioritize God.

Everyone of us is designed by God, to show how mighty he is...

Everyone of us has the ability to let others know how gracious God is.

We have a mission, to follow all what he wants us to do, and never complain cuz he knows what's good for us...

Trusting God is not the question. It's believing the impossible things God can do...

Well, like what we've discussed in compsci, IAD or internet addiction disorder, is a kind of disorder that puts surfing the net a priority; rather than exploring "the outside world". People with this disorder would put priority to internet surfing than his/her family, friends and school. There are reported cases that college students tend to drop their courses, because they'd rather surf the internet whole day than attend to their classes...+_+

As to my case, i can say that i don't have this kind of disorder (at least i think i don't ^_^)... Because the longest time i've surfed the net was 8 hours and my eyes really hurt! That was 8 months ago... But now, i usually spend 5 hours surfing the net (well, i do my homework of course, and also friendster, multiply, facebook, etc...)

There are some people i know that spends the whole day at the internet cafe surfing the net, they would usually start at around 9am and ends at around 11pm. They say,  their eyes doesn't hurt a bit, still they crave more...(i think they have IAD^_^) sayang naman sa kuryente yun...

Well, prevention is still better than cure... Better prevent someone from IAD than treating IAD. A person should be aware of the things happening around him or her...
All i can say is internet a good way to relax and entertain your self, just don't push it to the limit... ^_^

eeeeeee!! nosebleed. is all i can say about this blog...

---first nosebleed---

JAVA. it is said to be one of top progtramming laguages today and it is first used in June 1991 (from the everloving wikipedia). Portability. That's one thing users know about java, it can run on any supported hardware/operating-system platform.

C. also said to be one of the top programming laguages. In general-purpose, cross-platform,
block structured, procedural, imperative computer programming language originally developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie at the Bell Telephone Laboratories for use with the Unix operating system.(again from the everloving wikipedia).

C++. it is said to be enjoyed in a wide use in the software industry. Some of its application domains include systems software, device drivers, embedded software, high-performance server and client applications, and on and on and on...

I pretty don't know much about this topic... honestly ... hexhex

---second nosebleed---

Back in high school, we had a subject on programming... ill tell you this, i sucked. but luckily i passed the subject because of my partner, she is so gifted on programming... (+_nice_+) We always work in pairs, so every time we pass something, i get a high grade !! yippeee !! that';s why our professor thought im also good in programming...

In my own opinion, if students should be required to leard computer programming... hmmmmm....

i think they should just learn the really basic stuff on programming... and let the student decide whether or not they're going to continue the nosebleeding part of it... haha !!

---third nosebleed---

who do i think should be responsible for bugs??? hhmmmm... here's my best answer... PROGRAMMERS !! dddddoooooooyyyyy ?! (that's according to justine guinto!)

Programmers should work on it and make sure they get it right ...

------------------------------------------------------------

To sum it all up, uuummmm... i don't know, it's still sinking into me...

Maybe ill read more about this topic...

But first i just have to clean the place, cuz blood is all over the place... hehe...

Hackers… who are they? Is hacking a gift? Can anyone hack? In our COMPSCI class, we watched this documentary about hackers/hacking… well I learned some facts:
-Hacking can be used for a good thing (“captain zap” which lowered the price of telephone bills, Companies hire a team of hackers to test their firewall protection)
-Hackers can also be used for bad things (like increase your credit card bill! eeeeeee!)
-Believe it or not, there’s a school for hackers! (and it has the same logo as DLSU, nice…+_+)

Those we’re just some facts that I remembered…

So I was browsing through some videos on you tube, and then I found one video about hacking cellphones… would you believe it? The least private tool that we have can be hacked!!! So here’s the story, Paris Hilton’s cellphone got hacked and all of her contacts and messages got hacked… That threatened people, cuz who would have think your own cellphone be hacked?!

After that incident some people sonducted and experiment and tried to hack files from normal people’s cellphones, well they were successful and hacked all the messages in the inbox, outbox and sent messages also all the contacts… That crime happened and the person being hacked doesn’t know that he/she was being hacked…

Another experiment was conducted (during the OSCARS) and tried to put a hacking device in a bag. Then they would try to hack the cellphones of the celbreties that woul pass by with their limos… It was a success, they hacked 50 celebrity phones… The venue was full of security but they forgot about security on hacking…

Well to sum it all up, for me hacking is a gift, and it just depends on the person on how to use it…
